This paper examines the strategies Anne Sexton, Carol Ann Duffy, and Margaret Atwood employ in their revisionist mythmaking project to disclose denounce detrimental impact of patriarchal norms institutions on women gender equality. The poets rewrite classical myths fairy tales this time tell stories those who have been excluded from historical sociocultural narratives. new unsettle stereotypes with humorous purposely bathetic plot twists enable reject secondary roles historically attributed them.
